Volunteers play a vital role in the fundraising efforts for Channel 3 Kids Camp,

specifically for our largest fundraiser of the year, Holiday Light Fantasia.

Below is information about volunteer opportunities during set-up in Oct/Nov and then during the event itself Thanksgiving night - Jan 2, 2022.  We are truly grateful for any involvement that helps us make this a successful event! All proceeds from this event support year-round opportunities for Connecticut youth, ensuring any child who wants to experience camp is free to do so regardless of physical or economic abilities.

Need: Bulbing Light Displays | Oct - Nov | Availability Weekdays & Weekends
Under the direction of Channel 3 Kids Camp staff, volunteers help with the events holiday light displays by testing and replacing broken light bulbs.  Volunteers work in small groups and work mainly on the ground but may use a small stepladder at times.  Dressing for the weather is a must with a suggestion not to wear anything you cannot get dirty. This is a great opportunity for businesses to work together as a team and give back to our community.  All participating businesses will be featured here and on social media.

The need for this type of volunteer support is critical! – If interested, please supply a few dates between 10/1/21 – 11/17/21 that work for your team, and we will coordinate with you.

Need: Get your business noticed! Nightly Event Support Thanksgiving Night - January 2, 2022
24 Nights | 1- 6 Volunteers per night |  Thursday - Sunday 4 pm – approx. 10:00pm
Under the direction of a Channel 3 Kids Camp staff member, Volunteers are needed to greet guests, scan online tickets or sell tickets at the gate. Volunteers give info & instruction to ensure everyone’s safety.
Volunteers will be outdoors at night (in heated booths) for this event but should dress for the weather (including rain). Volunteers are able to take breaks in a heated shed and we provide hot beverages & bottled water.  We welcome groups to bring food (crockpots of chili, soup, etc…) to enjoy and make it a festive and fun night out with coworkers, family, and friends!

This is a perfect opportunity for businesses to get their employees together for one night to work the gate! All participating businesses will be featured here and onsite promotional opportunities exist. It's a great team-building experience and a perfect way to give back to our community!
