Holiday Light Fantasia is a much-loved Greater Hartford tradition and this season's destination. The 2-mile show transforms Goodwin Park into a drive-through wonderland of holiday spirit with a beautiful collection of over 1 million lights.
Whimsical holiday scenes, familiar characters, and local tributes shine bright in larger-than-life lighted scenes and 200 individual displays. Lighted animations celebrate not only Christmas but Hanukkah, New Year, and Three Kings Day.
Benefiting the Channel 3 Kids Camp, the Hartford Holiday tradition welcomed over 100,000 visitors last year! We look forward to welcoming even more supporters throughout the lighted celebration from Thanksgiving through January 2nd.
Restauranteur and promoter Frank Maratta, who created the popular drive-through light display in 1999, donated all of the light displays and equipment to the Channel 3 Kids Camp, a nonprofit year-round camp that serves nearly 3,000 children from every county in Connecticut and throughout New England.
The Goodwin Park holiday event is owned and managed by the Channel 3 Kids Camp and proceeds from the admission fees will help us to operate our 150-acre year-round program.
"We are very grateful for Frank Maratta's extraordinary vision in creating this fantastic light display and his generosity in transferring it to the Channel 3 Kids Camp so we can ensure its continuation for years to come," says Kids Camp Executive Director, David Meizels
